The Doctoral Program in Islamic Religious Education Based on Interdisciplinary Studies (S3 PAI-BSI) Postgraduate Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang was established and organized based on the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Education Number: 41 of 2014 Concerning the Permit to Organize the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at the Doctoral Program at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in 2014, with the name "Interdisciplinary Study-Based Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI-BSI)".
The presence of the PAI-BSI Doctoral Program to respond to the needs of PAI in the current era of globalization must be able to play its role dynamically and proactively in bringing about change and providing meaningful contributions to the improvement of Muslims in particular and humanity in general, both at the theoretical and practical intellectual levels.
To become a research-based, innovative, and academically independent PAI doctoral study program towards a superior and internationally reputable study program.
Able to become an educator at the Masters/Doctoral level and able to develop new theories and concepts in their field.
Able to conduct independent and innovative cross-disciplinary research.
Able to develop and find new research results to be applied and solve complex problems.
Able to provide strategic policy direction based on research and scientific ethics
