ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Doctoral Program in Islamic Religious Education Based on Interdisciplinary Studies (S3 PAI-BSI) Postgraduate Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang was established and organized based on the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Education Number: 41 of 2014 Concerning the Permit to Organize the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at the Doctoral Program at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in 2014, with the name "Interdisciplinary Study-Based Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI-BSI)".

The presence of the PAI-BSI Doctoral Program to respond to the needs of PAI in the current era of globalization must be able to play its role dynamically and proactively in bringing about change and providing meaningful contributions to the improvement of Muslims in particular and humanity in general, both at the theoretical and practical intellectual levels.

VISION

To become a research-based, innovative, and academically independent PAI doctoral study program towards a superior and internationally reputable study program.

MISSION

  1. Preparing human resources who are capable of carrying out research and development of Islamic Education sciences based on interdisciplinary studies.
  2. To make the PAI Doctoral Program a strategic research institution for the development of a pluralistic, multicultural and multireligious society.
  3. Making the Islamic Religious Education Doctoral Program a strategic partner for institutions at home and abroad, in order to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Producing Doctors in the field of Islamic Education who have character, are critical, and have integrity.
  2. Producing Doctors in the field of Islamic Religious Education who are critical-analytical-implementative in Islamic Religious Education issues with an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approach.
  3. Producing Islamic Religious Education Doctors who have the ability to be developers and inventors of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on interdisciplinary studies with practical theoretical abilities at all levels (micro, mezzo and macro).
