The Master of Elementary Madrasah Teacher Education Program (S2 PGMI) is a program that organizes education and teaching, research, and community service with an Islamic spirit. The Master of Elementary Madrasah Teacher Education Program (PGMI) guides students to become professionals as educators, researchers, and developers of Islamic elementary education who have spiritual depth, noble morals, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity. Mastery of Islamic Elementary Education insights, including mastery of knowledge and learning substance of 5 (five) main subjects of Elementary School/Islamic Elementary School and mastery of insight into the learning substance of one of the main subjects of Elementary School/Islamic Elementary School is the focus of the Master of Elementary Madrasah Teacher Education Program (PGMI).
The legal basis for the establishment of this study program is the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No. 387 of 2004 dated October 8, 2008 in conjunction with the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Religious Institutions No. DJ. I/358/2008 dated October 8, 2008.
To become a superior study program in developing Islamic elementary education (MI/SD) by integrating Science and Islam to solve problems through research and development of inter- or multidisciplinary approaches that are recognized nationally and/or internationally, oriented towards research, innovation, and academic independence.
Have a role in designing, developing, and evaluating the curriculum and learning tools for MI/SD that are integrative and contextual.
Able to conduct research in the field of Islamic basic education to improve mutual learning, classroom management, and student learning outcomes.
Have managerial and leadership competencies to manage Islamic basic education institutions professionally and sustainably.
