ABOUT DEPARTMENT

To facilitate the need for experts in the field of economics (management, accounting, banking) who have professional maturity, breadth of knowledge, spiritual depth, and noble morals needed by society, the business-industrial world, and government, the opening and implementation of the Postgraduate Program in Islamic Economics at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is necessary.

As a scientific institution obligated to uphold the Tridharma of Higher Education, particularly in the field of education, the Master of Islamic Economics study program is actively responsible for addressing the need for economic education (management, accounting, and banking) that integrates spiritual and moral excellence with professional maturity in management. Smart and strategic steps are crucial to developing human resources capable of integratively applying science and religion in various organizational settings.

Developing Islamic Economics science by integrating Islam and science through innovative, proactive research in the development of internationally recognized Islamic economics, finance and business.

MISSION

  1. Organizing highly competitive Islamic economic education to produce graduates with ulul albab character.
  2. Conducting research in the field of Islamic economics that contributes to the development of science and technology and SDGs
  3. Organizing community service in the fields of economics, finance, and sharia business that is oriented towards community empowerment.
  4. Organizing study program management in accordance with the principles good university governance.

  1. Graduates who have expertise in the fields of economics, finance, banking and sharia business with ulul albab character.
  2. Graduates who can apply theory and scientific development to solve problems in the fields of economics, finance, banking and Islamic business with an interdisciplinary approach.
  3. Graduates who have theoretical abilities, practical skills, and the ability to think to make changes in their personal and social lives for the better and have self-reliance.
