About the Study program

The Arabic Language Education (PBA) Masters Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Postgraduate Program is one of the leading study programs in the UIN Malang Postgraduate Program. The PBA Masters Program was established in 2009 in accordance with the Decree of the Director of Islamic Education Number Dj.I/690/2009. The curriculum implemented is a combination of the general Arabic language curriculum and Arabic language education in accordance with modern linguistic discoveries in particular. The process of socializing religious values ​​is also included in the teaching and learning process.

The existence of this Study Program is very relevant and prospective for undergraduate students from the Arabic Language and Literature Department (BSA) and Arabic Language Education (PBA) for the development of academic careers, scientific knowledge and skills in both fields.

To become a center of excellence for Arabic language education based on research, innovation, and Ulul Albab values.

MISSION

  1. Providing integrated master's education between Arabic language, pedagogy, technology, and moderate Islamic values
  2. Developing graduates as professional educators, learning innovators, and superior researchers who are able to contribute to the advancement of science and society.
  3. Encourage applied research and impactful innovation in Arabic language education, including the development of teaching materials, assessments, and AI-based learning technologies.
  4. Building national and international collaboration networks with educational institutions, the Ministry of Religion, Hajj bureaus, and global universities

OBJECTIVES

  1. Producing graduates who master Arabic language education theory and are able to develop knowledge through research or innovative work.
  2. Producing graduates who are able to design and implement Arabic language learning programs that are contextual, digital, and based on Qur'anic values.
  3. Producing graduates who are responsive to local needs (PTKIN, Islamic boarding schools, madrasas, Hajj-Umrah travel, course institutions) and global standards (Scopus, CEFR, UNESCO).
  4. Improving access to higher education through an inclusive RPL mechanism while maintaining academic quality.
