The Doctor of Islamic Studies Program is one of the fourteen (14) Study Programs available at the Postgraduate level. The Doctor of Islamic Studies Program is a manifestation of the noble ideals of the
Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang State Islamic University to take part in the development of human civilization in Indonesia through the practice of divine values, humanity, unity, peace, justice,
and local wisdom of the archipelago, which are in harmony with Islamic principles.
Institutionally, the Islamic Studies Doctoral Program is the sixth doctoral program launched along with the establishment of the Postgraduate program, as stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 199 of 2022 concerning Permission to Implement a Study Program for the Islamic Studies Doctoral Program at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang.

VISION
Discovering and promoting integrative Islamic Studies knowledge in integrating science and Indonesian Islam through an inter, multi, transdisciplinary approach with international reputation.
MISSION
- Building spiritual depth, moral excellence, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity for students.
- Equip and facilitate students with the ability to research and develop Islamic knowledge.
- Develop learners' intellectual skills, integrity and expertise by following the development of science and technology.
- Prepare students to become drivers of scientific progress who are able to answer and solve society's problems.
GOALS
- Producing Doctorates who can have a career in various professional work settings according to the profile of graduates who are able to develop and discover knowledge in the field of Indonesian Islamic Studies with an inter, multi and transdisciplinary approach based on Islamic teachings and ethics, science and expertise and produce creative, original and tested work.
- Individuals who are able to develop professionally by lifelong learning in leading, managing, and developing religious and Islamic research through inter, multi, and transdisciplinary approaches.
- Ability to provide alternative solutions to problems, provide services, and social transformation based on the knowledge of Islamic Studies with an inter, multi, and transdisciplinary approach.
