The Master of Islamic Studies (S2 SI) Postgraduate Program at State Islamic University Malang was formed to meet the needs of teachers and the general public who want to deepen their mastery of Islamic sciences related to Islamic history and civilization. The study of Islamic history and the plurality of Islamic civilizations can accommodate the breadth of interests of students who come from various academic or general circles.
The Master of Islamic Studies program is committed to producing graduates who have the intellectual capacity, expertise, and personality that reflect Islamic and scientific integration through research and development of Islamic knowledge.

VISION
To become a leading and international standard program in the implementation of education, teaching and research in Islamic science, as well as service to the wider community to produce graduates who have intellectual capacity, expertise, and personality that reflect the integration of Islamic and scientific knowledge.
MISSION
- Building spiritual depth, moral excellence, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity for students.
- Equip and facilitate students with the ability to research and develop Islamic knowledge.
- Develop learners' intellectual skills, integrity and expertise by following the development of science and technology.
- Prepare students to become drivers of scientific progress who are able to answer and solve society's problems.
GOALS
- Integrating science and Islamic knowledge from which new concepts in the field of Islamic science are formulated through the process of education and research.
- Carrying out research activities in the scientific and professional fields pursued to build a scientific tradition whose results can be utilized by the wider community.
- Apply an integrative approach between Islam and science in academic and professional activities.
